I was thrilled to TA for Upledger’s CST Pediatrics 1 in Vancouver, BC on June 14, 15, 16, & 17. This was the 3rd time I’ve assisted that class but it had been 9 years since the last one. Our inspiring instructor was Binaifer Bugli, a physical therapist from Michigan with decades of experience working with children. My fellow TA was Dr. Jacqueline Hines, a PT from New Jersey who was also wonderful to work with.

On the last two days, we had 3 sessions of children aged 3 months to 12 years being treated by teams of 2-3 students as we supervised. They not only worked with the kids, but also with their parents and grandparents. We saw amazing positive shifts and transformations in the children, their families and the practitioners. Despite the seeming chaos of one room with 10 treatment areas set up, many parents said their kids told them how much they looked forward to each session.

A quote from the student workbook:
“The inner wisdom of a fetus and an infant is every bit as intelligent as that of an adult. it knows what its body needs to correct its dysfunctions. It knows why those dysfunctions are present. It has a softer voice than the adult inner wisdom. Therefore, the CranioSacral Therapist must learn to listen more carefully. Once the connection is made, all the information you need will be forthcoming.”
